  • 1 cup cooked white rice
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter, for greasing dish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Butter an 8x8 baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk milk, cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Fold in cooked rice.
  4. Pour in prepared dish.
  5. Bake uncovered 45-50 minutes, until set and slightly golden.
  6. Cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
