Classic Crisped Rice Bars

A classic favorite, these crisped rice bars are a blast from the past. The perfect ratio of butter, marshmallows and crisped rice cereal to make anyone's day a little brighter.

6 Tbsp. salted butter

16-ounce bag mini marshmallows

1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

6 cups crisped rice cereal

Preparation

  1. Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Reduce heat to low and add bag of mini marshmallows to melted butter. Stir continuously until all marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in vanilla.
  5. Add crisped rice cereal and mix until evenly coated.
  6. Pour mixture into lined pan and lightly press until evenly spread.

**The harder you pack the mixture into the pan, the tougher they are to eat.
