What You’ll Need:
✔️ 1 cup uncooked Riceland rice per color
✔️ Resealable plastic bags or reusable containers (one per color)
✔️ Liquid food coloring (any colors you like!)
✔️ Eggs (cooled and dried hardboiled or dyeable Easter eggs)
✔️ 1 teaspoon vinegar per color (optional, for bolder colors)
✔️ Gloves (if you don’t want colorful fingers!)
🎨 How to Dye Easter Eggs with Rice
Step 1: Prep Your Colored Rice
- Add 1 cup of Riceland rice to a bag or container.
- Squeeze 5-10 drops of food coloring into the bag.
- (Optional) Add 1 teaspoon of vinegar to enhance vibrancy.
- Seal the bag and shake it up until the rice is evenly coated.
Step 2: Add the Eggs
- Place one egg into the bag of colored rice.
- Seal the bag and gently shake and roll the egg around until it's covered in speckled dye. (The rice will absorb the dye very quickly so feel free to add more dye for darker colors.)
Step 3: Set & Dry
- Remove the egg and set it on a paper towel or drying rack to dry completely.
- If you want a multicolor effect, repeat the process by rolling the egg in another color!
Step 4: Repeat & Get Creative!
- Use multiple bags with different colors to create unique, marbled designs.
